Serguey Asael Shinder: Amazon Corretto's October 2026 patch covers six Java lines, from 8u512 to 27.0.1
Amazon announced on 26 October a patch update for every supported line of Amazon Corretto, its no-cost, multi-platform distribution of OpenJDK. The new builds are Corretto 27.0.1.0.11, 25.0.5.0.10, 21.0.13.0.11, 17.0.21.0.11, 11.0.33.0.10 and 8u512. That covers both the long-term support releases — 25, 21, 17, 11 and 8 — and the current feature release, 27.
The builds are available from the Corretto downloads page, and on Linux through the Corretto Apt, Yum and Apk repositories, so machines that already have one of those repositories configured pick up the update through the normal package manager.

The announcement itself lists versions only; what each build changes is in the per-version release notes on the Corretto site.
What I take from it is a scheduling point rather than a feature. Quarterly JDK updates carry security fixes, and they arrive in every line at once, so a team running services on 17, 21 and 25 has three upgrades to roll, not one. Containers are where these get missed: an image built in July with a pinned base tag keeps the July JDK until someone rebuilds it. If your images pin a full Corretto version, this is the week to bump the tag; if they pin only the major version, check that your pipeline actually rebuilt after the 26 October release, because a cached layer will happily keep serving the old build.
